#34: Don’t Fear The Thong
All right, you know you’re not supposed to wear granny panties. But what’s wrong with bikinis? Why does acting young have to mean wearing a thong?
Thongs are…..uncomfortable. Even the ones that are supposed to be comfortable are uncomfortable. They make you feel like you have an intractable wedgie. Plus, they make you feel completely exposed. Like you’re hardly wearing any underwear at all.
But listen, that’s the next step: Going commando, ala Britney. So think of thong-wearing as a compromise in sexiness.

I don’t know if you knew this or not, but a woman is suing Victoria Secret because her thong snapped and a piece of metal hit her in the eye. I hope someone gets to the bottom of this. (GROAN). Here’s a URL to the story:

By the way Mauigirl, thanks for the tip about Pam’s blog.

That’s not true. Thongs are a little passe after that whole pulling-straps-over-the-jeans thing. Boy shorts are in right now. If you do wear a thong, make sure it isn’t black, white, or beige. Those are boring undie colors. (er… yes, I do find this blog fascinating)

….if you don’t have a thong, you can use dental floss instead…….

I think being young, underwear wise, is more about having all sorts of underwear, rather than one style. Got a grungy pair, a boring pair, a thong, boy shorts, string bikinis. You didn’t buy them all at once 10 years ago to match your bras – you bought them when you saw a nice pair and thought it was sexy.

This post sounds like someone who shouldn’t be wearing a thong in the first place. Leave it to the hot chicks.

Skip the thong, rather do without if that’s my choice,
depending on who’s around and where I am.

Haha … I just saw this article and thought of your site …
According to cosmo, thongs are officially on their way out! (and boy shorts, are in)

women’s thongs might be going out, but men’s thongs are coming into fashion. i wear thongs and i think they are comfy. i would not wear a thong if i was fat, good thing i am fit and only 120 pounds.

Any0ne choosing undergarments for the sake of perceived fashion that no one will see (provided that that is not the goal) is a fool! I CHOOSE thongs because they are infinitely more comfortable than MOST other styles-no riding up, no need to clandestinely flick fabric out of your crack and, for my initial rezon d’etre is the ‘no visible panty line’ (the comfort was an added bonus that has left me a life-long convert). I’m with johny5 on this one and women, if you let this fashion evolution go to the guys, you’re bought!

Of course boy shorts are on their way in-anything for the industry to make more money! I have a woman’s ass and do NOT want fabric ride-up-long live the thong!
