We really need you to come to Houston and help me explain to my neighbors/customers/friends what is making them look and act old. Our children would appreciate it. Especially when it comes to “social networking” which really scares those of us who thought they were cool because they used a Selectric.

Thanks, Robin. I guess my sentence wasn’t clear — I was trying to say meetup is LIKE a dating site for people who want to get together for reasons OTHER THAN dating. While sharp-witted readers can undoubtedly catch me acting out-of-it and old in a lot of cases, this isn’t one of them.

Hi There,
I’m new to the blog but judging from the title I think I get the gist. I just wanted to point out that Meetup is not a dating site. In fact it the first thing that occurred to me upon reading that is that by calling it a dating site you’re drawing attention to the fact that you aren’t really familiar with it. And since it’s a site that many young people use well…you get the idea.
